My Favorite Places

I highly recommend these places to eat.

(Since my business is based in Northern San Diego, I pick restaurant around here first.)

My favorite at this moment

    This is a small "Ramen" restaurant, but they serve nice lunch box and other tasty side dishes (super thin skin "Gyoza" cooked perfectly, little crispy on the outside) even at the busiest time. Everything is just so good, and I will drive 75 miles for my lunch.

Mexican Food
   1. Jalapenos, Temecula - for the taste, "Forget the atmosphere".
   2. Jimmy Carter, S.D. My friend took me there.
   3. Long drive, but "Miguel's" in Coronado Island, S.D.

B.B.Q.
   1. Sweet Lampy's, Temecula - Full rack baby back rib with side dish. Meat just falls off.

Thai food
   1. Thai Princess, Huntington Beach, Ca.
   2. Thai ????, Palm Spring - I forgot the name.

Sushi Bar
   1. Sorry, but we still have to drive 1 hour at least,
   2. You have to try "Matsuhisa", Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. All the seafoods are very high quality and handled right. Each item, even simple one, is seasoned well, and it tastes great.
Atmosphere is like "Izakaya" instead of upscale high-end restaurant for the area.
   3. My wife & I happened to eat at one of the oldest Sushi bar on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, and it was good. They changed as "Thai food & Sushi", and this place looked very old. We mostly had Thai food, but seared Ahi with Ponzu sesame seed oil was excellent. Fish was fresh, and they knew how to use their spice.

Chinese Food
   1. This is one of my favorite food, but I'm still on my searching stage.
   2. China House in San Francisco

Greek food
   1. It just taste light, healthy and good. I love it.
   2. Someone! "Tell me where to go."

Italian
   1. I forgot the name.
   2. You have to visit Italy. They definitely have some great food over there.
   3. Chelsea in Atlantic city. This place is described as "Hole in the wall", but their food is just excellent. "Don't take your date!"

Steak house
   1. If we use "Prime grade" steak, it will taste good for sure, so I need to find a Chef who can make less grade steak taste like higher grade one. I actually cook a great "Prime Rib", but it takes 3 days to make after 22 days of aging.

Seafood Restaurant
   1. I'm not sure because ...............

Hot dog
   1. Somewhere in England, I had the best one.

In general
   I can taste its food from the parking lot, How? & Why?
   Think about it!
